Residential Services
Residential treatment programs are long-term therapeutic environments for adolescents with long-standing behavioral health problems, and offer a balance of therapies and activities in a safe, structured setting. Each adolescent receives individual wraparound care led by a psychiatrist and administered by a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, teachers and mental health counselors to address all medical, psychiatric, social and academic needs of the adolescent. Adolescents reside in a safe and structured setting that allows treatment efforts to be maximized with the focus on positive outcomes. All our residential programs work closely with the local school district to ensure that the adolescent’s educational needs are met. When appropriate, adolescents may attend one of our therapeutic day schools.
Our residential treatment programs care for adolescents and are programmed separately based upon gender and differing developmental and psychiatric needs. The Residential program components include: comprehensive multi-disciplinary diagnostic evaluation, individual, group and family counseling, behavioral and milieu therapy, expressive therapies, social skills training, case management as well as psychiatric consultation. We have the following residential treatment programs:
This program is designed to treat young men, ages 13-18 at time of admission, who have a history of sexually aggressive behaviors and are at risk for continuing this behavior without intervention. The length of program treatment is 18-24 months based on the individual needs of the adolescent.
The units at JCRC are separated by gender and age serving male and female adolescents ages 13-18 with severe primary psychiatric disorders in conjunction with developmental/cognitive disturbances. This may include mental retardation, severe learning disorders, neuropsychiatry and pervasive developmental disorders. The length of program treatment is variable based on individual needs of the adolescent.
